FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb to step down

Food and Drug Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb announced his resignation from FDA on Tuesday. He said he would step down from the agency in about a month. WHY IT MATTERS Gottlieb was nominated by confirmed by a 57-42 Senate vote less than two years ago, in May of 2017.
